Some Union County departments have a refreshed look to tie into the County's new branding. The departments that are debuting a new department logo include the Library, Parks and Recreation, Emergency Services, and Water (formerly known as Public Works).
The department logos have unique elements that are rooted in research and tied to their services. For example, the Library's logo shows a monogram of "UCL" that can also be viewed as books and an open laptop, which is a nod to the growing digital presence of the library. Another example is the tree within the Parks and Recreation logo with 14 leaves, which represents the 14 municipalities within Union County.
When viewed as a logo family, there is a consistent look and feel to the logos, while still allowing individual identities.
Several partner organizations also joined the branding initiative, including the Union County Library Foundation, Friends of the Library, Monroe-Union County Economic Development, and Union County Board of Elections. This partnership shows the true strength of Union County partnerships and will further enhance the community's connection to the services each group provides.
