Union County Christmas Bureau is Accepting Applications

The Union County Christmas Bureau is now accepting applications from individuals and families seeking assistance with gifts and food this holiday season.

The Union County Christmas Bureau provides gifts/toys for children age 18 and younger. Applications will only be accepted over the phone (704-296-4828) Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Applications must be received by Nov. 20.

In order to be eligible for assistance, there must be children in the household, age 18 and younger, at the time of application, or a disabled or senior adult receiving income through Social Security or Medicaid. When applying over the phone, please be prepared to provide the last four digits of social security numbers for all individuals in the household, as well as the monthly gross income for all individuals in the household, including salaries, types of benefits, child support, etc. Applicants should also be prepared to give the date of birth, clothing sizes and gift ideas for all children age 18 and younger.

The Union County Christmas Bureau is donor-funded and volunteer-driven. In 2019, Union County Christmas Bureau served 1,641 families, worked with 463 volunteers, and donated 15,844 gifts.
