Cooperative Extension Launches Lunch & Learn Series

NC State Extension Staff at the Union County Center are launching a new program on the first Wednesday of each month from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Lunch & Learn series features information and tips on seasonal topics. The monthly events are free and open to the public. Participants are invited to bring their lunch, as lunch is not provided. The Lunch & Learn series currently has the below events scheduled February through November 2020 at the Union County Agricultural Center (3230 Presson Rd, Monroe, NC 28112):
- February 5: Pruning 101
- March 4: Planning Your Vegetable Garden
- April 1: Instant Pot How-To
- May 6: It’s Not Just About Robots
- June 3: Fire Ant Control Around the Home
- July 1: Shopping Local Foods
- August 5: Fall Lawn Care
- September 2: Meditation for Cooks
- October 7: Savvy Shopper: Local Meats and Label Claims
- November 4: Holiday Food Safety
- December 2: Goal Setting & Vision Boards
