Household Electronics Recycling

Union County Solid Waste accepts a wide variety of electronics for recycling, helping keep valuable materials out of the landfill and ensuring they are managed safely and responsibly.

Free for Union County Residents

County residents may recycle the items listed on this page at no cost by dropping them off at the landfill or most of our convenience centers, except the White Store Convenience Center, which does not accept electronics.

Accepted Electronics for Recycling:

  • Batteries
    • Union County accepts household quantities of rechargeable and lithium batteries, which require special disposal due to fire risks. Never dispose of lithium batteries in your regular household garbage. Read more at EPA.gov.
    • Other non-rechargeable batteries should be treated as household garbage and disposed of with your regular trash. Read more at EPA.gov.
