Passenger Policies, Procedures & Guidelines

Passengers must adhere to all safety and behavior rules of the transportation system as included in the Rider's Guide.

The Rider's Guide is a summary of transportation passenger policies and procedures, including safety and behavior expectations.

Title VI & ADA Information

In accordance with DOT order 1050 2A, Union County Transportation assures the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) that no person shall, on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, as provided by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987 and related nondiscrimination authorities, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits or be otherwise subjected to discrimination or retaliation under any program or activity undertaken by Union County Transportation.

Notice of Nondiscrimination

  • UCT operates its programs and services without regard to race, color, national origin, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. Any person who believes she or he has been aggrieved by any unlawful discriminatory practice may file a complaint with UCT.

  • A complainant may file a complaint directly with the Federal Transit Administration by filing a complaint with the Office of Civil Rights, Attention: Title VI Program Coordinator, East Building, 5th Floor-TCR, 1200 New Jersey Ave., SE, Washington, DC 20590.
