Union County Public Schools is strongly committed to preparing students for careers after high school.  With a 93.3% graduation rate, over 30 dual language programs, and over 13,000 trade-specific credentials earned by students in over 20 career readiness pathways annually, Union County Public Schools is a statewide leader in preparing students for success after graduation.

Union County Economic Development actively participates in initiatives aimed at workforce development and community engagement. Ron Mahle, Economic Development Director, serves as a member of the JobReady Partnership, a nonprofit organization that helps enhance school-to-work training for local students through a partnership of industry representatives, South Piedmont Community College, Wingate University, and Union County Public Schools.
