To plan for the aging service system by allocating Home and Community Care Block Grant funding, identifying funding sources, determining the needs of the older adult residents in the county, identifying resources and service gaps, promoting awareness through public education, and analyzing service and demographic data. The North Carolina Division of Aging recommends that the advisory committee membership:

• Consist of 1/3 older adults

• Include public or private providers of aging services

• Include elected county officials or leaders

• Include individuals from a broad range of aging interests and community demographics Membership of the Advisory Committee includes two types: Agency representatives and community representatives.

Community representatives serve two year terms, and there is no limit on reappointment.

Notes: If a member name cell is blank, it can mean either the current position and term are vacant, or the person who served in the capacity during the term date is still serving until a new appointment is made.
