Errol Wedra is a dedicated public servant with over 32 years of law enforcement experience. He currently holds a senior leadership position at a local police department. Errol earned a master’s degree in justice administration and is a graduate of the UNC School of Government’s Municipal and County Administration Course.

In 2014, Errol and his wife made the life-changing decision to leave behind their roots in search of something better for their family. They chose to settle in Union County, drawn by the promise of a community where their children could grow up surrounded by the values of faith, family, freedom, and a deep respect for individual liberty. Errol firmly believes that “We the People” should govern our institutions, not the other way around. He stands for limited government that stays within its proper, humble bounds.

Union County welcomed Errol and his family with open arms, an experience that left a lasting impression and instilled in him a deep sense of gratitude and responsibility. He carries a strong appreciation for the generations who came before him, whose dedication and sacrifice helped build the community he is now proud to call home.

Today, Errol remains committed to honoring that legacy by working to preserve and strengthen Union County for future generations.
