Children’s Environmental Health program serves to protect and improve the health of children by reducing environmental health risk in child cares, schools and camps. Environmental Health is involved in these facilities from the planning and construction phase to the daily operation, by offering instruction and training to personnel and routine sanitation inspections.
In order to meet the needs of the community, Environmental Health partners with other agencies and associations such as; Union County Public Schools, Union County Child Care Directors Association, Union County Family Child Care Association, Child Care Resources Inc., Thompson’s Child and Family Focus and North Carolina Division of Child Development.
