How can I help residents in an emergency situation?

Call 704-289-1591. To assist residents during an emergency, telephones are set up in the Emergency Operations Center to handle requests for special assistance and to receive reports of property damage, power outages and street blockages or closings. If you see someone in need of assistance with any of these items during an emergency call 704-289-1591.

About Emergency Management

The Emergency Management Department works with other entities and the public to guarantee Union County is prepared to protect itself against, respond to and recover from various types of disasters. This is accomplished by identifying the community's hazards, resources and capabilities and conducting preparedness briefs through developing and exercising emergency operations plans and coordinating efforts between response units.
