As the new school year approaches, Union County Public Health reminds parents and guardians of the required immunizations* for students entering kindergarten, 7th, and 12th grades - or any student who may be missing routine childhood vaccines. State law mandates these vaccinations, and failure to provide proper documentation within 30 days of a student’s first day can result in school exclusion starting as early as Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026.

To help families prepare, Union County Public Health is offering:

• Extended clinic hours on Thursdays starting Aug. 27
• Extra appointments available Monday, Sept. 21
• Exclusion Day Walk-In Clinic on Tuesday, Sept. 22, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Extra appointments available Thursday, Oct. 1
