America 250: Country Under the Stars

America 250 logo with an American Flag background.Celebrate community, music, and America’s 250th Anniversary at the America 250: Country Under the Stars concert on Saturday, July 25, at the Simpson Events Center. Hosted by Union County Parks and Recreation, this free and family-friendly event will bring neighbors together for an evening of live country music and summertime fun. The concert will feature performances by artists Palmer Anthony and Darren Deese, promising an upbeat soundtrack for a memorable night under the stars.

“Events like Country Under the Stars are a great way for our community to come together, celebrate our shared history and create new traditions for the future,” said Union County Parks and Recreation Director Jim Chaffin. “We’re proud to offer a free, family-friendly experience that connects the County at the heart of America’s 250th celebration.”

Parking opens at 5 p.m., with the concert planned for 6-9 p.m. A rideshare and drop-off area will be available to ensure all guests arrive safely. A fireworks display is scheduled to follow, pending weather conditions. In addition to live music, attendees can enjoy a variety of activities for all ages, including inflatables, face painting, axe throwing, fairy hair, and a selection of food vendors. Guests are welcome to bring blankets, chairs, and outside food or non-alcoholic beverages to make their evening comfortable.

This celebration reflects the spirit of connection and togetherness that has defined communities across the nation for 250 years. Union County Parks and Recreation is proud to provide this free opportunity for residents to gather, celebrate and create lasting memories close to home.
