Union County Needs Your Input on Funding Priorities for the Community

Union County invites residents to take a survey on how the County spends federal funds for housing, community projects, and economic growth in our area. The County will use your input to create the 2026–2030 Consolidated Plan, which guides how the County uses funds for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and other Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) programs.

The survey asks for opinions on important issues, including housing, parks, social services, job opportunities, and public safety.

“We want to hear from the people who know Union County best: our residents,” said Monica Culbreath, CDBG Grant Specialist. “Your input will help guide our priorities for the next five years and make sure we’re investing in the things that matter most to our community.”

The deadline for completing the survey is Saturday, Feb. 14.

Each year, the goals and actions from the Consolidated Plan are summarized in the Annual Action Plan, which outlines how the County will use federal and non-federal resources to meet the community’s needs. Then, the County reports its progress on these goals in the Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER).

For questions, please email Monica Culbreath, CDBG Grant Specialist. Check the County’s CDBG webpage for updates and additional opportunities to share thoughts on future planning.
