Following Winter Storm Fern, Union County Government has made operational changes as listed on this page. Public safety services remain operational 24/7, including the Sheriff's Office, Emergency Services teams, and Union County Water crews on call in the event of a water or wastewater system emergency.
Monday, Jan. 26
- All publicly-accessible Union County Government facilities and services are closed, including:
- Transportation services will not operate on Monday, Jan. 26.
- All home deliveries in the Senior Nutrition program are canceled on Monday, Jan. 26, and congregate meal sites are closed. Clients have been provided shelf-stable meals to have available in case of emergency cancellations.
- All courts are canceled. Alternate location for filings will be the Magistrates Office.
Tuesday, Jan. 27

Most County facilities and services will open with a delay starting at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27. All
Union County Library locations will open late and close early, operating 1-5 p.m. on Tuesday.
- Some County services will remain closed on Tuesday, including:
- Waste and recycling sites, including the County landfill, will be closed to the public all day Tuesday, Jan. 27.
- County parks will be closed to the public all day Tuesday, Jan. 27.
- Transportation services will not operate on Tuesday, Jan. 27.
- All home deliveries in the Senior Nutrition program are canceled on Tuesday, Jan. 27, and congregate meal sites are closed. Clients have been provided shelf-stable meals for emergencies.
- All courts are canceled. The Clerk of Courts Office will open at 1 p.m.
