Most Union County Government offices and facilities will be closed Monday, Jan. 19, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Union County Library: All library locations will be closed on Monday, Jan. 19. When the library is closed, book drops will also be closed and locked. No items are due or fines charged when the library is closed. The library's digital resources are always available online.

Parks and Recreation: Cane Creek Park will be open on Jan. 19, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is offering free admission through February 2026. 

Waste and Recycling: The Union County Landfill and residential waste and recycling center on Austin Chaney Road will be open with regular operating hours on Jan. 19. Other residential Waste and Recycling Centers will be closed Jan. 19, as they are not open on Mondays. Click here to view locations and regular operating hours.
