The holiday season brings extra celebrations—and with them, extra waste. Fortunately, Union County Solid Waste can help you manage the cleanup!
Here are three easy tips to help tackle your to-do list:
- Got boxes? Recycling is free at the Union County Landfill and residential convenience sites across the county.
- County residents may take advantage of our Trash Pass program to dispose of limited amounts of household garbage for free.
- Live Christmas trees (two per household) will be accepted for free composting at the Union County Landfill site only, through Jan. 31st. Please remove all decorations and tinsel from trees before bringing them to the landfill.
Properly recycling and composting holiday waste helps reduce landfill use, and covering your load as you bring these items to us supports a cleaner community for everyone. For any of these services, you can find hours of operation, locations and policies on our Waste and Recycling pages.
