Post Date:11/26/2024 9:35 AM

Dev Activity MapAre you curious to know what is being built on a site in unincorporated Union County or Hemby Bridge? This information is now readily available in a map format on the Union County website.

"County residents with questions about development activity can now easily find this information on our website," said Lee Jenson, Union County Planning Director. "We're pleased to make this information readily available to the public."

Please note that not all development activity appears on this map. Small developments – such as minor subdivisions with fewer than nine homes – will not appear on this map.

Here's how to use the map:

  1. Click here to access the map
  2. Search by address in the search bar at top right or simply move around the map to find information about current development activity.
  3. Click on one of the colorful dots on the map to read more about the development plans for that site. You will see information about the size of the site, known plans for the site, the current stage of the development process, and who to contact if you have any questions.

Please note that Union County's development map will only show data for sites within our land use jurisdiction. For a site outside of Union County's jurisdiction, please inquire with the respective municipal government that permits land use activity for that location. Our address search tool can help you determine which local government to contact. You may be able to find the information you're looking for on the development activity maps published by these local municipalities: Indian TrailMonroe, and Waxhaw.
