Union County's annual Household Hazardous Waste Event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Union County Agricultural Center (3230 Presson Rd., Monroe). This is a free event for Union County residents to rid their homes of hazardous materials, shred sensitive documents, and dispose of unneeded medications.  

To participate, drive through the parking lot at the Union County Agricultural Center between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12.ur event staff will speak with you before removing the unwanted items from your vehicle. 

Only certain items and quantities of each item will be accepted.
