Voter Registration Deadline for Nov. 8 Election

September 19, 2016, Monroe, NC – The deadline to register to vote in North Carolina is 25 days before the day of the election. The registration deadline for the Nov. 8 General Election is Friday, Oct. 14.

Voter registration applications received by the Union County Board of Elections office or postmarked by the deadline are accepted as valid applications for the upcoming election. Voters who are not registered in the county by the deadline may register and vote during one-stop early voting only, and will be required to provide documentation of their identity and residence.
