Voter Registration Deadline for Monroe Municipal Election is Sept. 11

August 17, 2015, Monroe, NC--- The deadline to register to vote in North Carolina is 25 days before the date of an election. The deadline for registering for the Oct. 6 Monroe Municipal Election is Sept. 11. The voter registration application must be received by the applicant’s county board of elections by this date.

An application received after the deadline may still be timely if it was mailed and is postmarked on or before the voter registration deadline; otherwise, the application will not be processed until after the election.

Registering and voting on the same day at a One-Stop Early Voting site is permitted for this election.
