Union County Government Offices Closed for Independence Day

June 30, 2015, Monroe, NC – Union County Government offices will be closed on Friday, July 3 in observance of Independence Day.

All Union County libraries and Animal Shelter will be closed Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4. The County Landfill will be closed on Saturday, July 4.

Cane Creek Park will be open July 4 from 7a.m. to 7p.m.

According to Cane Creek employees, there will be high traffic at Cane Creek Park’s Day Use Area on July 4.

Reservations for shelters and picnic sites are highly recommended. Reservations for the park can be made through the county’s website.
