Early voting officials are paid hourly, must attend training, and be available February 13 - 29. Election Day officials are paid a flat rate, must attend training, set up the precinct the day before the election, and work from 5:30 a.m. to approximately 8:30 p.m. on Election Day.

Election officials must be Union County residents and a Union County registered voter (or become registered if eligible). Officials cannot be a candidate or relative of a candidate on the ballot and must not be an elected government official, hold office with a political party or be a treasurer for a candidate or political party. Additionally, poll workers should be computer proficient and have reliable transportation.

If you’re looking for a way to fulfill your civic duty and make extra money, this is a great way to do just that. If interested, call the Union County Board of Elections at 704-283-3809.
