Learn to Partner with Government at Vendor Fair

Posted on 03/07/16

March 7, 2016, Monroe, NC – Companies interested in pursuing business opportunities with Union County, local municipalities and schools should attend the “Connecting Business in Union County” vendor fair on Wednesday, April 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at South Piedmont Community College.

The vendor fair is a great networking opportunity that allows business representatives to meet with procurement agents from Union County, the City of Monroe, Union County Public Schools, South Piedmont Community College, the Town of Indian Trail, Town of Stallings, Town of Wingate, and Town of Waxhaw. Procurement agents will share information about upcoming bid opportunities, discuss how the Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal processes work, how to navigate government websites and how buying surplus can save you money.

An E-Procurement workshop will be held to learn how to become an E-Procurement vendor. NC E-Procurement provides suppliers with increased access to markets without additional supplier marketing efforts, a single point of access for North Carolina government organizations, a faster and more efficient method for quoting (eQuote), and increased order accuracy through receipt of electronic orders with a consistent purchase order format.

Admission to the fair is free and a light breakfast and lunch will be provided. For more information and to register, go to
