Heritage Trail Opens on April 9

March 30, 2016, Monroe, NC – The Union County Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners will celebrate the opening of the Heritage Trail on Saturday, April 9 at 9:30 a.m. at the Union County Agricultural Center at 3230-D Presson Road in Monroe.

This is a free event to celebrate the new trail which was created by the First Presbyterian Church Boy Scout Troop #1 and Union County Master Gardeners. The trail provides an opportunity for the community to learn more about the native plants in our area, is a recreational venue for hiking and walking in a natural setting, as well as potentially becoming part of the community Thread Trail venture.
