Resolution of the Union County Board of Elections
Action on Applications for Absentee Ballots
March 3, 2020 Primary Election


WHEREAS, General Statute 163-230.1(f) states that county board of elections shall hold public meetings commencing on the third Tuesday before an election at 5:00 p.m. for the purpose of action on applications for absentee ballots. If the county board of elections changes the time of holding its meetings or provides for additional meetings, notice of the change in hour and notice of the scheduled meetings shall be published in a newspaper circulated in the county at least 30 days prior to the election.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Union County Board of Elections adopts a resolution to allow the time of the required meetings on February 11, February 18, and February 25 to begin at 4:00 p.m. in their office located at 316 B East Windsor Street, Monroe and to schedule additional meetings for Monday, March 2 at 5:00 p.m. and Thursday, March 12 at 2:00 p.m. for action on applications for absentee ballots.
